Cheltenham’s November Meeting runs from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November 2026. It is the first big jumps fixture of the season, and bookmakers treat it like a mini-festival, with free bets, extra places and price boosts across all three days. Here’s what to expect and how to get the most from the offers.
November Meeting 2026 at a glance
- Dates: Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November 2026.
- Feature races: the Paddy Power Gold Cup (Saturday) and the Greatwood Hurdle (Sunday).
- Typical offers: new-customer free bets, extra places, money back as a free bet if second, and price boosts.
- All offers are 18+ and T&Cs apply.
Which betting offers to expect
Extra places. The big handicaps attract large fields, so several bookmakers pay an extra place or two on each-way bets. On a 16-runner handicap, a fifth or sixth place can be worth more than a slightly bigger price. Read our each way betting guide if you’re new to place terms.
Money back if second or third. Some bookmakers refund losing win bets as a free bet if your horse finishes second, or sometimes third, in selected races. Check the maximum refund and the race list.
Best odds guaranteed (BOG). If you take an early price and the starting price is bigger, a BOG bookmaker pays at the bigger price. It’s worth having on every racing bet.
New-customer free bets. Welcome offers can be used on the November Meeting. Check the minimum odds and whether the free bet can be used each way.
How to use a free bet at Cheltenham
- Claim a welcome offer and place the qualifying bet at or above the minimum odds.
- Use the free bet on a selection at bigger odds. Free bets don’t return the stake, so longer prices make more of them.
- If the bookmaker allows it, consider an each-way free bet on a big-field handicap where extra places are paid.
- Track your bets, and stop when you reach the budget you set.
