About this video: Acca Insurance Explained

Acca Insurance Explained shows how these offers refund your stake when one leg lets you down, and how to compare them.

First, the video explains the basic idea. If just one leg of your accumulator loses, you typically get your stake back as a free bet. For example, a £10 five-fold with four winners and one draw usually returns a £10 free bet. However, if two or more legs lose, there’s no refund.

Next, it covers the usual conditions: a minimum number of legs, often five, minimum odds, a cap on the refund, and a refund paid as a free bet rather than cash. To compare offers, look for fewer legs, looser odds rules, a cap that suits your stake, and a cash refund if possible.

Finally, the video shares tips for using it well. Stake within the cap, because anything above it isn’t covered. Also, don’t add weak legs just to qualify, and remember that cashing out usually voids the insurance.

However, rules and offers change. For that reason, we check every video against the Gambling Commission and other official sources. In fact, we last checked this one on 13 October 2026.

Here's how acca insurance works, and how to compare the offers.

Acca insurance refunds your stake if just one leg of your accumulator loses. Place a ten pound five-fold, four teams win and one draws, and you'd typically get a ten pound free bet back.

But if two or more legs lose, there's no refund.

Most offers share the same conditions: a minimum number of legs, usually five; minimum odds, often for each leg; a cap on the refund, often ten to twenty-five pounds; and the refund usually comes as a free bet, not cash.

To compare offers, look for fewer legs, a looser odds rule, a cap that fits your stake, and a cash refund if you can get one. And check that the leagues you bet on are included.

Stake within the cap, because anything above it isn't covered. Don't add weak legs just to qualify. And remember that cashing out usually voids the insurance.
