About this video: Acca and Bet Builder Free Bets
Acca and Bet Builder Free Bets explains how restricted free bets work, and how to get the most from them.
First, the video sets out the two types. An acca free bet must go on an accumulator, often with four or more legs. A bet builder free bet, on the other hand, must cover several outcomes from one match. In both cases, check the minimum legs, minimum odds, expiry date and eligible markets.
Next comes a worked example. Four favourites at 1.6 each give combined odds of about 6.55. If all four win, a £10 free bet pays £55.54, because the stake isn’t returned. If any leg loses, you get nothing, although it cost you nothing.
Finally, the video explains what these offers are really worth: roughly £6 to £7.50 for a £10 free bet. That’s slightly less than a normal free bet, because every extra leg adds the bookmaker’s margin. So use the minimum number of legs, skip very short-priced bankers, and keep bet builders simple.
However, rules and offers change. For that reason, we check every video against the Gambling Commission and other official sources. In fact, we last checked this one on 13 October 2026.

Here's how acca and bet builder free bets work, and how to get the most from them.
Some welcome offers lock your free bets to one kind of bet. An acca free bet must go on an accumulator, often with four or more legs. A bet builder free bet must go on several outcomes from one match, priced as one bet.
Check the rules on the free bet: the minimum number of legs, any minimum odds for each leg or overall, when it expires, and which sports or markets it can be used on.
Here's an example. Four favourites at one point six each make combined odds of about six point five five. If all four win, a ten pound free bet pays fifty-five pounds fifty-four, because the stake isn't returned. If any leg loses, you get nothing, but it cost you nothing.
In the long run, a ten pound acca or bet builder free bet is worth roughly six to seven pounds fifty. That's a little less than a normal free bet, because every extra leg adds the bookmaker's margin.
To get the most from it, use the minimum number of legs, skip very short-priced bankers, and stick to big, well-traded markets. For a bet builder, keep it simple and build around one idea.
