About this video: Qualifying Bets Explained

Qualifying Bets Explained shows how to make sure the bet that unlocks an offer actually counts.

First, the video explains what a qualifying bet is: the real-money bet that triggers an offer. On a bet £10 get £30 deal, the £10 bet is the qualifying bet, and on most offers it can win or lose.

Next, it covers minimum odds. Your odds must be equal to or bigger than the minimum, and evens (2.0) is common. However, prices can move, so a bet that shortens to 1.95 before you confirm won’t qualify. That’s why you should check the bet slip, not the price you clicked. For accas, the combined odds usually need to meet the minimum, and some offers set one for each leg too.

Finally, the video runs through five quick checks before you bet: the odds, the full stake in one bet, a debit card deposit, the time window, and no cashing out. Also, each-way bets are often excluded, so use a win single unless the terms say otherwise.

However, rules and offers change. For that reason, we check every video against the Gambling Commission and other official sources. In fact, we last checked this one on 13 October 2026.

Here's how to make sure your qualifying bet counts.

A qualifying bet is the real-money bet that unlocks an offer. On a bet ten, get thirty offer, the ten pound bet is the qualifying bet. On most welcome offers, it can win or lose.

Almost every offer sets minimum odds, written in fractional or decimal. Your bet's odds must be equal to or bigger than the minimum. Evens, or two point oh, is a common one.

A bet at exactly the minimum counts. But watch for prices moving: if the odds shorten to one point nine five before you confirm, the bet won't qualify. Check the bet slip, not the price you clicked.

For accumulators, the combined odds usually have to meet the minimum, and some offers set a minimum for each leg too. Each-way bets are often excluded, so unless the terms say they count, use a win single.

Before you place it, run five quick checks: the odds, the full stake in one bet, a debit card deposit, the time window, and don't cash out, because cashed-out bets often don't count.
